Frequently asked questions
Can you tell me a bit about your company?
The company was established in December 2013 and commenced operations in April 2014. We are an award winning company which has recently been awarded as best Real Estate Consultancy in Middle East.
Will the company train me if I have limited or no direct experience in Real Estate?
If you are successful and offered a position within the firm, full training will be provided which will be working towards your RERA exam here in Dubai.
What is RERA?
RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) is the Government Body that regulates the industry. To become a Sales or Leasing Agent you need to pass your RERA exam. Once you pass your exam you become a licensed Real Estate Agent.
How long will it take to become a licensed agent?
Under the terms of our employment contract you are under probation and internal training for 1 month which can be extended for a further 2 months. After this period we decide on how well you have coped and when to put you forward for your RERA exam. It really depends on how quickly you grasp the role and your own work ethic in terms of how pro active you are within the company.
Does the Company process my Visa?
Yes, under the laws of the UAE all employees require a Visa which we arrange for you.
How much money will I need?
As the role is heavily commission based, you need to financially support yourself until you close your own deals. We expect you to be billing in your 2nd month (if you are in rentals) and 3rd month (if you are in sales). You need to financially support yourself during these first few months. We would break this down as follows: Accommodation – 4,200 AED (£700 per month) General Expenses – 1,800 AED (£300 per month) We always recommend that for the first few months you are very careful with your money so that you do not put unnecessary financial stress on yourself for the first couple of months.
How much can I earn as a Sales or Leasing Agent?
Great question as this is all about a career in an industry which can potentially earn you a lot of money, which is of course tax free. We would expect a junior sales agent to be doing 1 deal a month which would earn them anywhere between £4,000 - £6,000 (or 24,000 – 36,000 AED). If you are doing 2 sales a month, simply multiply it by 2!
I am worried about leaving my family and friends and moving to a new country.
Dubai is one of the most exciting cities in the world to live and work in. Our office is full of people who all made the move and all of them delighted they did. It’s very easy to make new friends here in Dubai as everyone is in the same position as you. In life you need to be brave when it comes to new decisions. If you decide to make the move we believe you will never look back.
What are the next steps?
Please upload your CV and covering note and if successful we will contact you for a series of Skype calls with management. If you are successful after your Skype calls we will offer you a position and inform you of our next training session dates here in Dubai.
